Sean Moore's switch from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland earlier this year was seen as quite the coup by the FAI.

The Cliftonville winger has been in remarkable form this season, starring for the NIFL Premiership side. At 17-years old, many were already tipping him for a call-up to the Northern Ireland senior side.

However, that now seems incredibly unlikely. Moore had his head turned by advances from down south, lining out for the Republic of Ireland U19 side last month.

With his international future now decided, it looks as though he has made a decision on his next move at club level.

The Cliftonville player has been linked with quite a few English clubs in recent months, although it seems he is close to agreeing his next move.

The Belfast Telegraph are reporting that Sean Moore is set to join West Ham this summer.

Cliftonville have reportedly accepted that would see them receive an initial £170,000 in the deal. That could eventually rise to £500,000 if certain conditions are met.

The likes of Newcastle, Brighton, Everton, and Ipswich Town have all been closely monitoring his progress in recent months. It seems as though West Ham, who had a bid rejected for the player back in January, have now won the race.

While he is likely to initially join their youth setup, it will be interesting to see what progress Sean Moore can make at the London Stadium in the seasons ahead. He is a very exciting prospect, one that the Republic of Ireland will be thrilled to have on board.

Ireland have not been blessed with many wingers of his ilk in recent years, meaning international honours may not be too far away if he can continue along his current trajectory.
