The Serbian Media's Predicted Ireland Team Shows How Little They Know About Us

John O'Shea's versatility knows no bounds. Renowned for being comfortable at playing across the back four and in a holding role in midfield, as well as an appearance in goals for Man United - O'Shea was lovingly nicknamed a 'monkey wrench' by Today FM's Gift Grub. (A tool who is useful in any situation).

But this might be taking the biscuit.

In Serbian sports newspaper Zurnal's predicted Ireland team for the opening match of the World Cup qualifiers, they have shown their lack of knowledge about the team they are about to face.

They have John O'Shea listed as captain, and that he'll be lining up in front of Seamus Coleman at right wing. Either they saw O'Shea's nutmeg of Luis Figo way back in 2003, or they are a big fan of Mario Rostenstock.

The full team for Ireland includes Shane Duffy at centre-back despite his suspension, uncapped Ireland U-21 international Jack Byrne as the attacking force in centre midfield, and someone named Odo according to google translate who I haven't been able to decipher.

The team in full - Randolph, Coleman, Dafi (Duffy), Wilson, Christie, O'Shea (captain), Hendrick, Byrne, Brady, Odo, Long.

If you want to have a go at deciphering it yourself, you'll need a Serbian Cryllic keyboard and Google translate.
