Young Irish hopeful Brian Lenihan has agreed to join Blackpool on a one-month loan deal from Hull City.

The 20-year-old, former Cork City playerm hasn't featured for Hull since he move but Steve Bruce seems enthusiastic about what the emergency loan deal could do for him:

He is another who can play in the Championship. He has trained with us for six weeks.

The Irish are delighted with him.

Bruce added 'It’s a wonderful experience for him and he has a chance to play.' Lenihan has been a surprise call-up to the last couple of Irish squads and hopefully a run of first team football will see him develop further.

Of course, the Oracle that is Football Manager 2015 has predicted that Lenihan will be an integral part of the Irish team in 2024.
