Donegal's Eamon McGee received hate mail due to his support of the Yes Vote in Friday's marriage referendum.
Speaking to Michael Foley of the Sunday Times, the All-Ireland winner revealed that the letters were, as you'd expect in a situation like this, anonymous.
There’s been letters to the house with no names on them saying that I’m going to hell and leading the people of Ireland to hell, all this off-the-wall stuff.
Obviously, you’d prefer it didn’t happen but I feel I’m doing the right thing.
McGee started at corner back for Donegal in their preliminary round Ulster Championship match against Tyrone today.
Earlier this week, Ger Brennan was panned for his 'car crash' interview on RTÉ Radio One regarding his beliefs on the referendum.
