BBC's Top Gear To Piggyback On Gaelic Football's Popularity To Push Their 'Newish' Show

Top Gear trundles on in a new incarnation.

Ignoring the sound advice of those who told them to just bring back Tiff Needell (remember him), they have unveiled a new presenting team of Chris Evans, Eddie Jordan, Matt le Blanc, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid.

Naturally, they may encounter hostility and scepticism from the Clarkson loyalists.

In a clever PR move, they are attempting to harness the wonders of Gaelic football to boost their popularity.

Chris Evans announced this week that they are shooting an episode on the Dingle peninsula.

They intend to watch an exhibition match between a 'Dingle selection' and an 'An Ghealtacht selection'. Dingle GAA club sent out a facebook post saying that all ages between 18 and 50 are free to participate. It may not be a top level club game so.
