Cork will take on All Ireland finalists Kilkenny in the National Hurling League at Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday night. Here's all you need to know about Cork v Kilkenny.

Kilkenny will look to get their league campaign back on track after a frustrating draw against Wexford in Nolan Park last weekend. A Cian Byrne goal in the dying embers of the game earned the Yellowbellies a draw. Cork, on the other hand, after a lively opening to their game in Ennis, fell in the final quarter to Clare. Speaking post-game Cork manager Pat Ryan spoke of his pride is his team's performance and said he would be taking the positives out of the defeat.

“We were very proud of our lads.”

“The way they came back into it in the last ten or 15 minutes, a couple of subs we brought on made a bit of a difference. We were in a great spot with seven or eight minutes to go but Séadna Morey got inside us and got a great goal and that probably killed the game then at that stage.”

“These things happen. Obviously, you’re trying to work on things and the way we’re treating the league is that we want to try to win every match.

“At the same time, we’re looking at the positives that can be taken out of every game and see what we can work on that suit us and the way we want to play and the things that don’t suit us and then move on to the next game.”
