The Donegal GAA County Board were victims of an internet scam which saw their bank balance depleted by eighteen thousand euro.
It's believed that a Donegal official's email was hacked and an orders were send requesting the money to be transferred to an account based in Reading.

The fraud was discovered almost immediately however the money had been withdrawn from the account before the banks were able to intervene.
Letterkenny Gardaí are currently looking into the case and are working with UK police in an effort to recoup the money.
