Just minutes earlier Bernard Brogan got the Dubs back into the match when he redirected a miss hit Brian Fenton shot.

Brogan was involved for McMahon's goal too, possibly throwing the ball into the square before the corner back smuggled the ball over the line.
It was a goal which the Mayo players disputed and also saw referee Eddie Kinsella consult with umpires before it was awarded.
