We're about 5 years behind the rest of Planet Internet here on this sceptic isle, and I bemused to stumble upon possibly the Irish internet's only forerunner to Balls.ie while looking up photos of Jim McGuinness/Jesus lookalike photo. The lads who ran a site for Eddie Moroney soundbites, it seems, also operated a GAA Lookalikes archive. It looks ghetto as hell, but there's a few good ones: John Divilly and Eddie Munster, Marty Morrissey and Betty Boop, Liam McHale and one of the Reservoir Dogs. The layout is pre 1.0 - gridded photos against a Minesweeper tile background, but who cares. The Sunday Tribune thought it was newsworthy back in 2004, which must count for something.
