If you happen upon a hurling match in Boston or San Francisco this summer, there's a strong chance you'll get to see an inter-county hurler in action.

With only six teams remaining in this year's Liam McCarthy Cup, the exodus of hurlers to the USA began several weeks ago.

The deadline for transfer has not yet passed. Expect see plenty more big names heading to play their hurling Stateside this summer, especially with the All-Ireland quarter-finals having been played, and Tipperary and Dublin eliminated.

The North East division includes team from the Boston metropolitan area of Massachusetts and also clubs from states throughout the north east and New England area.

The Western division encompasses northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
