Kildare man and Collingwood player Paul Cribbin was out on a night out with fellow Irishman Caolan Mooney Saturday night in Melbourne, but things turned a bit sinister and Cribbin was on the receiving end of a right 'bashing'. He lost his two front teeth and fractured a bone in his gums after an unprovoked attack. Why is half of Ireland going to Australia again? According to a Collingwood spokeman:

"Paul is out of hospital and he's been knocked around a fair bit and he now has to go through the process of seeing dentists and the appropriate medical people and getting his injuries fixed up."
