Last year's acquisition of GAA TV rights by Sky introduced our sports to an entire new audience.

Along with the likes of Mike from Walsall, who was unable to comprehend how keepers were expected to save shots struck 30 feet over their heads, Joey Barton was among those to take a liking to hurling and football.
