A match up which we have already witnessed in the Division two ladies football league, Armagh and Laois are certain to produce an entertaining match. The two teams have impressive attacking players who are sure to cause trouble for both team's defences. Armagh's Aimee Mackin has been unstoppable for the Ulster girls coming into the championship, sure strong display in the Ulster championship earned her team a spot in the Ulster final, where they lost out to Donegal. Their division two game finished 4-9 t0 2-10, Armagh coming out on top.

Time: 5pm

Where to watch: TG4

The TG4 Leinster ladies' football champions Dublin will face Division One winner's Kerry, with the game to be broadcast live on TG4. This game is promised to be a spectacle with both teams finding their form right before the championship. Kerry have enjoyed an impressive few years of success and coming up through the ranks and it doesn't look like they are done yet. The 2022 All-Ireland finailts will be hoping to end their heartache of losing the final last year by going all the way this year. One team who won't let this happen is All-Ireland veterans and 2023 Leinster champions Dublin.

Kerry are favourites to win the All-Ireland series, according to Meath's sharpshooter Emma Duggan. Kerry were All-Irleand finalists last year and won the division one league this year, following an impressive 5-11 to 1-10 against Galway.

''Kerry, they're the team to beat at the minute, that's for sure. We'd love a crack at them further down the line, hopefully''

Galway who were the division one ladies football finalists will face off against Munster champions Cork this weekend as well. Coverage of this game will also be available to watch on TG4, with throw in for that game set for 7.30pm.

These two teams are strong contenders to also win this years championship. The game is set to be a match-up of families as The Divilly sister duo of Galway and the Cork O'Sullivan sisters will go head to head to try and get their All-Ireland hopes of on the right foot. Both teams had an impressive league run, with Galway making it all the way to the finals, Cork have also enjoyed an impressive year so far, winning the Munster championship. There is very little to split these two teams heading into this opening-round match-up, the game should be a great watch.
