GAA commentators on local radio are unashamedly partisan in their commentary. We wouldn't want in any other way.

In the final moments of Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final, Bryan Sheehan lined up a free-kick from 50 yards out to give Kerry the win, and send them to the third Sunday in September.

While those in the Radio Kerry commentary box were praying Sheehan's effort would end up flying over the bar, it was a very different story in the MidWest Radio position, just yards away.

Commentator Michael D. McAndrew and former Mayo manager Martin Carney held their breaths as the Cahersiveen native lined up his shot.

Once the ball left Sheehan's boot, McAndrew's love for Mayo shone through.

Yes! It's going wide! GO WIDE! Go wide! Yeah!

Lets hope both McAndrew and Carney have their voices ready for next week. They'll be needed.
