The GAA, eir Sport and RTÉ have reached an agreement which will see four Allianz League games simulcast by both the national broadcaster and the subscription channel in 2019.

As part of the agreement, RTÉ will also broadcast club championship matches. It will run alongside TG4's coverage of the club game.

The new agreement runs from 2019 to 2022.

eir Sport will continue to broadcast Saturday night Allianz League games. It will show at least two games per weekend from January 26th. The full list of live fixtures will be announced next week.

Eir Sport will be the host broadcaster but RTÉ will have its own editorial, presentation and punditry teams for the four simulcast Allianz League games.

"In increasing RTÉ's live coverage of Gaelic Games across the GAA calendar year, we are reaffirming our commitment to bringing national moments to a national audience, free-to-air and guaranteeing coverage on RTÉ television for nine months of the year for the next three year," said RTÉ Head of Sport Declan McBennett.
