Triumphant St Kierans Hurlers Crush Trophy In Victory Celebrations Gone Awry
By Donny Mahoney Updated

St Kieran's, Kilkenny's teenage hurling powerhouse, won their third Croke Cup in a row yesterday and proved that Kilkenny hurling dominance is going no place. Celebrations were fittingly raucous after the match --- to the detriment of the esteemed Croke Cup. We're not talking Sergio Ramos levels of damage but a team photo gone wrong left the cup seriously misshapen. Relive the crush in a frame-by-frame sadness below.

Here's the Croke Cup in happier times. Notice its beautifully rounded shape.

Kieran's line up for the team photo after the speeches. The inevitable crush follows - but who is minding the Croke Cup?

Find the cup now.

The cup has surfaced from under the ruck but notice it has lost its circular shape.

Tom Whitty awakes to what has been done.

Pointlessly, he tries to pull the cup back into shape. The guilt on his face.

Perhaps a friend can help. Perhaps not.

Hopefully there is a silversmith in Kilkenny who can restore the Croke Cup from its now-mangled condition.
