Conor Counihan stepped down as manager of the Cork football team after his sides loss to Dublin. Counihan announced his decision in a post match interview in which he struggled to keep his emotions in check. Counihan lead Cork to the All Ireland title in 2010 and his class and dignity consistently shone through in what can be a difficult position.
