Mick Bohan's side started brightly and raced into a 2-3 to 0-2 as Nicole Owens and Sinead Aherne dealt Galway an early hammer blow with two goals. Captain Sinead Aherne then converted a penalty to effectively end the contest. By half-time, the score was 3-04 to 0-02.

Aherne finished with 2-04 in total as Dublin continued to impress in the second half. Lyndsey Davey added a fourth goal after the break to complete a superb sweeping move.

To their credit, Galway did not give in and a late Olivia Divilly brought the gap down to six.

It means Dublin progress to their fifth straight final where they will face Cork, who defeated Donegal in today's other semi-final.
