Waterford overcame a stern Galway challenge in Walsh Park today 1-18 to 2-13 after a late goal from Shane Bennett.

Galway will be disappointed with the final result having led by ten points at half-time thanks to a strong breeze. While the 1-1 from Shane Bennett was crucial, a particular highlight came with his ingenious assist for a Jamie Barron score.

Galway only landed two second-half points in the game, but still led by three in the final minutes. However, two scores from Stephen Bennett before Shane landed the winning goal.
