The greatest quarter back in the game is at a crossroads in his life. Last night's Super Bowl defeat will have undoubtedly left the Patriots man devastated. But all is not lost dear Tom. Brady's ancestry brings us back to the Ireland of the mid 1800s, when starving Cavan man left his humble abode to go in search of a new life. Yes indeed, Tom Sr. Sr. Sr. was one of the thousands who made the voyage across the Atlantic, waving goodbye to their love ones, and their rotten potatoes. Upon reaching the promised land, our protagonist met with a humble girl from Cork, and a eternal romance was born.

Flash forward to 2012 and their great grandson is Cavan's greatest claim to fame across the water (well apart from General Philip Sheridan, but we won't get into that). So the question on everyone's lips now; will Tom follow in the footsteps of another of the Breffni County's present day sportsmen?
