Dave the Diver has been one of the year's most celebrated games, after its release on computer and Nintendo Switch, with its creative gameplay and wholesome storyline.

It is an action-adventure role-playing game, from developers Mintrocker, where you control the title character and deep sea diver 'Dave' as he takes over a sushi restaurant and catches fish for his customers.

Dave The Diver Fans Will Be Pleased

The game was a massive hit with players, scoring 90/100 on Metacritic, and they will be glad to know that the same studio have a new release coming out next year.

The game, Nakwon: Last Paradise, is due to launch next year and is a zombie survival game set in Seoul:

NAKWON is a 3rd person view Zombie Apocalypse Stealth Survival game. Experience a new form of 'Post-Apocalypse Life' that you've never seen before. Explore Extraction Survival and gather resources from the PvPvE city, where Zombies and Survivors coexist to survive in this new societal structure.

In a recent interview, the director of Dave the Diver, spoke about some of the inspirations for the game and the challenges in making it.

"The blue hole in Dave the Diver is inspired by the ‘All Blue’ in the manga ‘One Piece’, which is a legendary sea location where all the fish from the world gather in one place.

"Those games [Metal Gear Solid and Like A Dragon] created a new level of excitement by combining a management system and mini-games with solid gameplay mechanics. I thought we could do something like that with sushi and diving.

"It ended up being much harder than it first seemed, so we had to go through tons of trial and error. The depth of the management system in the sushi bar is one thing that we constantly tested and changed. If we make it too light and automated, it easily becomes boring, but if we make it too complicated then it becomes stressful to be fun."
