EA Sports have revealed the official logo for its brand new football game series, EA Sports FC, which will replace its long running and hugely popular FIFA series.

It was confirmed last year that FIFA 23 would be the final title in EA's FIFA series, with the video game company announcing plans to create EA Sports FC shortly afterwards.

The partnership between FIFA and EA had lasted nearly thirty years with the games amassing hundreds of millions of sales over the period.

It is quite unusual for EA to announce details of their offering so early into the year but today as well as unveiling the new logo they also teased more updates which will be announced in the summer.

The new logo takes inspiration according to EA from one of the most dominant shapes in football culture, the triangle.

From passing techniques to set plays, as well the iconic player indicator symbol that appears above every player in every match, EA say that the shape has been part of the "DNA of EA SPORTS football experiences for decades."

In the coming days the logo will feature at Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, WSL, NWSL and CONMEBOL games.

“This is where the story of EA SPORTS FC begins," Nick Wlodyka, SVP and GM of EA SPORTS FC said.

"We’re building on 30 years of leadership and history creating experiences that bring the global football community together, and continuing to take it into a fan-first future.”

“EA SPORTS FC will be a symbol for the sport, a symbol of innovation and change, and we’re energised to show our fans more about the future in July.”

EA claim that players will experience "unrivaled authenticity" as they will have access to more than 19,000 fully licensed players, 700 teams and 30 leagues, with the support of over 300 global football partners.
