The new Fortnite season has just arrived with the Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG dropping this morning.

Many Irish fans and worldwide users of the game were expecting to wake up to 2018 Fortnite nostalgia, however instead of playing the new version, fans were greeted with queues and screens informing them the game was offline so it's downtime could be completed.

Over 3 million Fortnite fans are currently logged onto the server and are playing the hotly anticipated Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG.

The launch of Fortnite chapter 4: OG season has seen Fortnite reach a new all-time player peak. For the first time since epic games has published player stats.

Currently, there are over 3,500,000 people playing the game right now, with more people waiting in queues to join the game.

Fortnite queue times

Due to the incredible player demand, the game has been forced to place some of the game users in queue's to try and manage user demand whilst making sure the game doesn't crash.

 

How long is the wait time for the Fortnite queue?

While the majority of people are gaining access to the game right away when they log in others are reporting they have been placed in a waiting room queue. The majority of users are reporting the queue wait time is 20 minutes.

When will Fortnite servers be back up?

Fortnite servers are now back up and running after nearly seven hours of being offline.

Many fans of the game woke up disappointed as they couldn't access the game due to game downtime. Fans became more annoyed over the situation as no official wait time was given to users, as to how long they should be expected to wait.

Downtime for v27.00 Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG began this morning, Friday, November 3rd at 7 am, with matchmaking immediately disabled.

The game is now back online, going live around 1:50pm (Irish time)

Many fans of the original game are eagerly expecting the arrival of Fornite's latest version as the game is set to bring player's back in time to it's 2018 Chapter 1 map and gameplay features.

The latest version is set to include throwback weapons, loot, vehicles and more.

 

Twitter Reacts to Fortnite servers being down

On social media, Fortnite fans were freaking out as they had to wait for the servers to return.

The unknown of when servers will be back up and running is killing Fortnite users. There is still no word on when Fortnite servers will be back up and running, so users are passing their time by voicing their upset over the game not being playable on the social media platform X.
