Nicky Byrne and a variety of celebrities are set to take part in eSoccer Aid on FIFA 20 to raise funds for Unicef.

e Soccer Aid is being held to generate donations for Unicef to help stop the spread of coronavirus and limit the impact on children’s lives. The tournament's announcement comes as Soccer Aid and EA Sports have also announced a long term partnership.

The tournament takes place on Saturday June 27 at 5pm, with every £1 donated matched by the UK government.

The tournament's format will be similar to the usual Soccer Aid, with England taking on the Rest of the World. Eight live streamed matches will take place. Players contest matches individually but their results will count to the overall England vs. Soccer Aid Word XI FC score – and so dictate which team wins.

If a team is more than four goals down entering a match, their goals in the match will count for double until they are level or ahead. Also, if the score is tied at the end of the eight matches, team captains (Robbie Williams and Usain Bolt) start a new match and golden goal wins.

The Rest of the World captain Usain Bolt proclaimed his excitement for the event, albeit in strange circumstances.

“I’m excited to be able to captain the side again, albeit in a slightly different setting. It’s incredible to see Soccer Aid World XI FC in the game and I can’t wait to get going in eSoccer Aid for Unicef playing with the team."
