Even after an early bogey on the second hole, Harman recovered and steadied himself. The abject conditions meant that none of the big hitters like Jon Rahm or Tommy Fleetwood could stage a comeback.

The 2023 Open Championship winner will walk away with a record amount of prize money for the tournament. The biggest payout seen so far in the Open Championship will see Harman walk away with $3,000,000 (€2,667,795).
McIlroy is still waiting for that first major since the 2014 Open but he's been rewarded with a payout of $551,250 for his T5 finish. Padraig Harrington finished in a tie for 64th and brought home $39,025.
