This week Balls.ie's Paul O'Hara put his immune system on the line when he completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on a crisp Autumn afternoon. Irish golfer Shane Lowry was the first of the three sporting personalities he called out to post a response.

The main thing we took away from this video is the sheer volume of icy water that spilled out of the ominous-looking chrome cylinder over Lowry's head. It was really an unnecessary amount. If the water charges were in effect, this might have been the most expensive Ice Bucket Challenge ever.

The former Irish Open champion called out fellow golfer Graeme McDowell, Kerry's two-trick pony Colm "Gooch" Cooper and Irish national hero Brian O'Driscoll to take part in the challenge.

One down, two to go. It's time for Nigel Owens and Paul Galvin to rise to our challenge and risk hypothermia for a worthy cause.
