How to watch Lowry and McIlroy at the PGA Championship

Lowry and McIlroy's ventures to move up the leaderboard will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Golf. Coverage begins at 2pm with the lads set to get underway at 6:40pm.

The story so far

Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy both finished their second rounds on even par and tied for tenth. Their five shots of the lead with a three-way group of Corey Connors, Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler currently leading at five under.

Since splitting with his caddy earlier this year Lowry has enjoyed a mixed bag of form but had little consistency. At the masters, he neither excelled or did terribly, but he certainly wasn't contending for the lead. Now in golf's second major, the Offaly man has poised himself well to at least go chasing the lead. He shot a dismal first-round 73 (par 70)in tough conditions, but a flying round yesterday of 67 saw Lowry shoot back into contention.

McIlroy was enjoying a brilliant season until his breakdown at the Masters when he missed the cut, and while neither of his rounds at this major have been amazing, a first-round 71 and second-round 69 are plenty to keep him in contention. With his experience and the low scoring across the tournament, a good round today could see McIlroy competing for yet another PGA Championship.

Padraig Harrington is also involved today, although at three over and tied for 35th it's unlikely he's got any shot at genuinely contending. He tee's off with Sam Stevens at 3:50pm(Irish time).

That's all the info you need on how to watch Lowry and McIlroy in the PGA Championship together today.
