Limerick are set to take on Cork this weekend in the third round of round-robin fixtures in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship. Here's all you need to know about Cork v Limerick.

Both counties have had differing fortunes so far in the championship this year, with the fates of the Rebel County and the Treaty County potentially being sealed depending on the results.

Limerick followed up their win over Clare in the first round with a dominant display against Tipperary at TUS Gaelic Grounds. John Kiely's side ran out 2-27 to 0-18 winners in the end, but the result was overshadowed by an injury to right-corner forward Peter Casey. The Na Piarsaigh man suffered a broken ankle while scoring Limerick's second goal which will see him miss out the rest of the inter-county season.

For Cork, they followed up their first-round loss to Waterford with another narrow defeat to Clare at Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The Rebels led the Banner 1-17 to 0-13 just after the stroke of half-time, but a red card to captain Sean O'Donoghue in the 53rd minute helped swing momentum Clare's way. Brian Lohan's men would finish the game 3-26 to 3-24 winners, despite two late goals by Cork.

A win for Limerick would seal their place in the Munster final, while anything other than a win for Cork would see them exit Liam MacCarthy contention. Limerick currently sit top of the Munster table, while Cork find themselves at the bottom.
