Rhys McKee told Balls during the week that a statement win against Hakan Foss in the headline event at Cage Warriors 110 on Saturday night might earn him a deal with the UFC.

The 24-year-old from Ballymena delivered exactly that type of victory at Neptune Stadium in Cork.

It took McKee just 63 seconds to finish the veteran Norwegian.

McKee dropped Foss to the deck with a straight left before unleashing a flurry of punches which resulted in the referee stepping in to stop the fight.

The fight was McKee's first at welterweight in four years. After making his Bamma debut at 170lbs, he subsequently dropped to lightweight where he won the Bamma title.

After the British promotion went under, he moved to Cage Warriors last year. He is now 10-2 in his pro MMA career.
