The UFC was in Croatia last night at Arena Zagreb.

Junior dos Santos vs Ben Rothwell

The main event was a heavyweight bout between Brazilian Junior dos Santos and American Ben Rothwell.

Remarkably, the fight went the full five round with dos Santos winning by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).

Afterwards, Junior dos Santos was enthusiastic about a win which puts in back the mix as a contender for the heavyweight crown.

Derrick Lewis vs Gabriel Gonzaga

They like their heavyweight fights in Croatia. Four of the six events on the main card were in the 265 lb class.

The co-main event was again America vs Brazil.

This time, it was the American who finished on top.

With just over ten seconds left in the first round, Lewis hit the 36-year-old Gonzaga with a barrage of punches, one of which caused him to hit the canvas. The referee has no choice but to step in and stop the fight.

Francis Ngannou vs Curtis Blaydes

Frenchman Francis Ngannou won the second fight of his UFC career when he defeated Curtis 'Razor' Blaydes. It was the American's first fight in the promotion.

The fight was stopped at the conclusion of the second round when the doctor decided an injury to Blaydes' left him unable to continue.

Timothy Johnson vs Marcin Tybura

Timothy Johnson is now 2-1 in the UFC after he beat Polish fighter Marcin Tybura in the fourth heavyweight fight on the main card. It was a unanimous decision with for the American (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Jan Błachowicz vs Igor Pokrajac

Before the barrage of heavyweight fights came a bout at 205.

Polish light heavyweight Jan Błachowicz beat local Igor Pokrajac by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Maryna Moroz vs Cristina Stanciu

The first fight on the main card was a women's strawweight fight between number nine-ranked Maryna Moroz and Romanian Cristina Stanciu.

Ukrainian Moroz won by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
