It was a big night for Ireland in the WWE last night, with Finn Balor (Fergal Devitt) earning the no.1 contender position for the NXT title.
Yes it's scripted but how and ever, you still need to be talented enough to get the push and it seems Balor is very highly regarded within the company. Along with Balor, Irish wrestler Becky Lynch also took part in a fatal four last night for the NXT women's title.
NXT is the developmental brand which allows wrestlers gain more experience before moving up to the main Raw roster but in recent months it has developed into a show that is far better received by many fans than any of the main shows. Last night was no different as Balor and Adrian Neville put on a brilliant match:
