Apparently the reasons are financial, not editorial, but either way, the best sportswriter working in Ireland and Britain is now out of work. You'd assume he won't be long looking for employment, but then again, the well of quality sports journalism gets shallower by the day. Intelligent sportsfans are being asked to pay the cost of the sins of Wade and Murdoch.
