One word perfectly captures the first half of Ireland v Wales: cagey. There were few memorable moments of actual football played so perhaps the most interesting thing to occur was the debut of an Irish brass band. Fans at the Aviva were treated to brass band renditions of 'Stand Up For The Boys In Green' and 'Ole'.

The bum note at the end of 'Stand Up' will live forever in the memory of all Irish fans present on this massive evening for Irish football.

It was an interesting debut considering that the FAI banned the famed Welsh brass band The Barry Horns from performing at the Aviva tonight.

Initially, it was largely Wales fans on Twitter airing their frustrations at the sound of the Irish brass band.

But after the brass band's second half performance, Irish fans began to rage in unison.
