Red Bull Crashed Ice takes place in Belfast this weekend and if we weren't already excited about it, we certainly are now. The track is in place at Stormont Castle and it is quite simply a feat of engineering and construction brilliance.

A 430 metre temporary ice track being built in Belfast is no small feat, something which is clear by the sheer amount of work and resources that go into it as seen in this timelapse video.

As the saying goes, if you build it, they will come. Well, they've built it and there's sure to be a shedload of people there to enjoy the the sporting craziness that is Red Bull Crashed Ice. The event takes place this weekend, February 20th and 21st and you can still get your tickets here.
