The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2014 came to Inis Mor last weekend with 14 athletes doing spectacular mid-air acrobatics into the sea.

In the sport, cliff divers leap off a 28-metre platform and hurtle towards the Atlantic Ocean, twisting, contorting and flipping their bodies during the descent before hitting the water at speeds of up to 85 km/h. The dives are given a score out of 10 by a judging panel.
English diver Gary Hunt won the Irish event, beating USA's Steve Lobue and Jonathan Parades who came second and third respectively. Watch the breathtaking footage of the event below.
