By Donny Mahoney Updated

Pat Hickey, 'probably the top ranked Irish sports administrator in the world of international sport' is under house arrest in a Rio hospital tonight, but the Dubliner has proven his Olympian mettle before and like the judo king he is, surely Hickey will not be chopped down by such trivialities as the law of Brazil.

Hickey has been lording it around the world for most of last two decades and we hereby present some of his greatest moments of being boss.

The time he became a sex symbol and put judo on the map in Ireland

Only took one photo. Boss.

The time he won the silver for Ireland in the women's 5000m in Sydney

Great seat for the flag ceremony.

The time he rocked a khaki suit in Beijing

Big pimping. Love the matching shoes.

The time he and JD ordered pizza from the boxing centre in Beijing

'JD, order me a pizza. Make it extra pepperoni'

The time he chilled with Europe's only dictator Vladamir Lukashenko of Belarus

Dictators have the best chairs.

These lads have actually met loads of times but this meeting here in 2015 lead to the following memorable exchange between the two.

“I like sport, moreover, I am in charge of sport and its organization. In fact, the development of the modern society is connected with sport. It is a source of health and good mood,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

Patrick Hickey, in turn, praised the development of the sports infrastructure in Belarus. “You have wonderful sports facilities and objects. This is because you go in for sport,” he said.

The time he chilled with Vlad in Moscow after one of the most corrupt Olympics ever

Sochi games - doping and corruption to the gills. Fistbump!

The time he got really good seats for Ireland vs Sweden at Euros next to JD and EE.

'I got Weso for first scorer lads'

The time he flew first class to Rio for the 2016 Olympics
