The Ireland rugby team have shared footage of a visit from Dáire Gorman, the Monaghan-born Liverpool fan who has touched hearts in recent months for his avid support of the club.

On Christmas Day, Liverpool shared a video of Dáire meeting Jurgen Klopp and some other Reds heroes, after footage of him emotionally singing You'll Never Walk Alone at Anfield went viral.

The youngster, who has the rare condition Crommelin Syndrome, has since been inundated with media requests, appearing alongside his parents on radio and TV in recent months.

Dáire's latest dream day out took him to Irish Rugby's high performance centre, where he was introduced to the squad by Andy Farrell, who had to put his own football allegiances aside for the day.

"I think we all recognise that Dáire touched everyone's hearts when we saw him go to his beloved club Liverpool," says Farrell in the clip. "I can forgive you because I'm a Manchester City supporter."

After Dáire confirmed that Luis Diaz was one of the Liverpool stars that he met, Farrell asked him who is the Diaz of the Irish rugby team, to which the 12-year-old responded "Bundee Aki."

Like a shot, Aki is up from his seat and walking towards Dáire, as the rest of the team burst into a rendition of the club's famous anthem.

Irish rugby team creating magic moments

Farrell wouldn't have been the only football fan in the room reluctantly humming along, but the meeting with Dáire was just the latest in a series of heartwarming visits to the Ireland rugby camp.

Last week, Stevie Mulrooney met his heroes just days after performing Ireland's Call in front of a packed Aviva Stadium ahead of the Six Nations victory over Italy.

During an intense training period, it's good to see the team making time to create these kinds of magic moments.
