Stevie Mulrooney has been a busy man this week, so you'd have forgiven the youngster if he had taken a rest on Friday night instead of rocking up on the Late Late Show again.

That wasn't to be though, as the eight-year-old made a triumphant return to the RTÉ chat show to round off a memorable week.

Last Sunday, Stevie wowed the Aviva Stadium crowd with his rendition of Ireland's Call ahead of the Six Nations win over Italy, with Andy Farrell among those impressed with his singing abilities.

During the week, he turned up at an Ireland training session to meet Farrell and his team, with the Ireland Head Coach praising him in person for the confidence he showed last weekend.

Not finished there, the Toy Show star returned to where it all began for him on Friday night, as he reacquainted himself with Patrick Kielty.

As Kielty playfully mimed Ireland's Call to the sound of Stevie's dulcet tones, who would emerge from behind the curtain but Stevie himself to "expose" the host as a fraud.

"I told you to stay behind the curtain," said Kielty to the youngster. "What are you doing? I'm busted."

Just like at the Toy Show in November, Stevie was a natural on the Late Late stage as he told the audience that it felt "absolutely brilliant" to perform in front 0f 52,000 at the Aviva Stadium.

Stevie Mulrooney continues to impress

Stevie revealed that it was phone call from Josh van der Flier that secured his role as Ireland's anthem performer at the Aviva, and he also gave an exclusive by confirming that he will be repeating the trick for Ireland's opening home match of the Women's Six Nations against Italy at the RDS on Easter Sunday.

It's been a whirlwind few months for the eight-year-old since he was first introduced to Peter O'Mahony and Bundee Aki on the Toy Show. With the nation is now fully aware of his talents, we'll all be watching on to see where the singing career takes him.

Who knows, with the amount of experience he has already amassed, this may not be the last we see of Stevie Mulrooney with the Irish rugby team.
