South Africa are Rugby World Cup champions, an honour their performance this morning thoroughly deserved. They dominated England in every facet of the game, overpowering Eddie Jones' side right from the off.
The 20-point winning margin did not flatter Rassie Erasmus' side, with England failing to show up. As Warren Gatland hinted at earlier this week, it does seem that they played their final against the All Blacks last weekend.
Still, a lot of England fans are not happy.
South Africa's opening try was a long time coming, but it was a bit controversial. It appeared that there could have been a forward pass in the buildup, although Jerome Garces and the TMO were happy that it was legal.

It was a close call, but it looks to have been flat. That is not an opinion shared by England supporters.

Genuinely think the TMO and Jerome Garces are the only people in the world who missed that forward pass

Forward pass if ever I saw one - what the fuck is the point in the TMO #shiteref

Correction: to score from a forward pass in the build up. https://t.co/hBiYPmHhSZ

Apparently a couple of French referees can't see a forward pass #ENGvRSA

This is what happens when you let a man from a nation that historically hate us ref a final, there try clearly a forward pass

Why not look at that #TMO decision from the proper angle #WorldRugby? It was forward!!!see the pass is forward an where he catches it??? But you used a behind and above angle???? #RWCFinal #BadDecision 🤷🏼♂️ #CarryThemHome #RWC2019 pic.twitter.com/RQWIseNWjy

How is a decision decided as clear and obvious if a room full of football fans could call that as a forward pass in real time?

TMO: That was a forward Pass
French ref: But its England
TMO: Try allowed

Oh look, a forward passed just casually ignored. I know we haven't left the EU yet, but I doubt Garces will ever be granted entry to England! #RWCFinal

Don’t care if I’m English and bias. That was forward all day. Doesn’t matter if the player was behind. Still passed forward and ran onto it. South Africa have just played annoying rugby and deserve the win at the moment #RugbyWorldCupfinal

Forward. Fucking. Pass. I called it in real time. How could they not see it on a replay???
