The latest addition to the list of celebrities with sporting backgrounds is a bit of a surprise in Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Interview star Seth Rogen.

The Canadian comedian has revealed in an interview with rapper Tyler, The Creator, that during his high school days, right around the time when he was filming what would grow into a cult-hit TV series in Freaks & Geeks, he played rugby and apparently wasn't too bad.

Rogen grew up in Vancouver where American football is not as a popular as other areas (like Saskatchewan), and instead his school had a rugby team, where the comedian's size came in handy.

That's what I looked like in high school, I was a big dude.

I played Rugby and shit. In Canada they don't have football they have rugby in high school, I was actually pretty good because I was gigantic.

And I smoked a tonne of weed also, I was a pot-head-rugby-stand-up-comedian.

Slightly harsh on the CFL there, as there are some areas where American football is popular, but Canada has a strong rugby tradition and it's cool that one of the nation's most famous exports in recent years was a fan of the game.
