Tadhg Furlong was sent out for media obligations after Leinster's 23-17 win over Munster in the Aviva stadium this afternoon, and his interview quickly descended into a near-farcical territory when Sky Sports reporter Graham Simmons questioned the front row forward's colour of boots.

You may remember Simmons from such previous post-game interviews as "Immortality beckons, you know that, don't you. Immortality. Is. Beckoning" and "Go on Shawsie. Give us a hug".

After breaking down Furlong's role in Rory O'Loughlin's well-worked second try, where the prop displayed some beautiful soft hands to pass to the looping Johnny Sexton who set away the oncoming Joey Carberry who passed to O'Loughlin to run in for a simple try.

However, Furlong was asked by Simmons after that,

How much nonsense do you take for being a front row prop who wears white boots?

You don't like them?

Not a massive, massive fan.

I am very disappointed that you don't like them.

To make matters even worse for the Wexford man, Simmons had the gall to instruct the cameraman to pan down at his bare feet for everyone at home to see and to Furlong's credit, he dealt with the awful and awkward stereotyping brilliantly and if can keep performing the way he is, there will be plenty more front row forwards donning white boots.
