Ding Junhui has played a large part in turning snooker into one of the world's most popular spectator sports. The Chinese player commands a legion of fans back home who religiously follow every match. So, when he's playing a World Champship match you can bet a hell of a lot of people are tuning in across the world.

Ding was giving them something to smile about during the morning session of his last 32 round clash with Mark Davis. 5-3 down, Ding produced an exceptional break and was well on his way to a 147 and the £30,000 bonus that comes with it when something rather unusual happened.
