Wimbledon kicks off today. To celebrate, we have put together a collection of the weirdest and wackiest moments from the only Grand Slam on grass to get you in the mood

Go to his backhand

Viktor Troicki was having a tough time against his countryman Novak Djokovic when a spectator decided to give the underdog some coaching from the stands. The Serb was quick to make a mockery of the fan's advice and even offered him his racket if he thought he could do any better. Serving for the set, Troicki decided to heed the spectator's advice and ended up forcing an error from the Serbian number one. He was quick to acknowledge that the tactical advice helped him win the set.

Fognini Meltdown

On this occasion, the tennis legend made such a ridiculous mistake from a relatively easy shot that it ended up as a moment of hilarity.

Jerzy Janowicz was lucky to have any fan support against hometown hero Andy Murray when the two locked horns on the fabled grass at Wimbledon. After faulting the first serve, the Pole's second serve was interrupted by an over-eager fan. After some disapproving murmuring from the crowd, Janowicz broke the tension with a memorable reaction.

Fuck you thunder!

Poor Sabine Lisicki had a rather embarrassing moment against Marion Bartoli in 2011. After a pretty loud crack of thunder resonated around the stadium, the German physically jolted which resulted in an eruption of laughter from the stands and even got a smile from a rather stern looking umpire.
