Gee, Brain. What are we going to do tonight? The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world.
Granted, it has been quite some time since The Animaniacs' most beloved supporting characters (god, it feels dirty even calling the famous duo that) plotted world domination, but with news that the iconic cartoon is returning, we think they might actually do it.
You know, in the sense that Pinky and the Brain will take over the streaming world. That's the same thing, right?
Well, with Yakko, Wakko and Dot headlining Hulu’s new Animaniacs reboot, the premiere date of November 20 draws closer.
Thankfully, we've now been treated to our first glimpse of the cast as they reunite to provide the voices to their beloved characters.
Take a look as Rob Paulsen (Yakko), Jess Harnell (Wacko) and Tress MacNeille (Dot) all return to revive their iconic roles. Maurice LaMarche, who voices the Brain in the show’s Pinky and the Brain sketches, is also in the mix.
At present, the new Animaniacs show is under contract for two seasons and the reboot is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, with Sam Register, the current president of Warner Brothers Animation, also involved.
Other than that, details about the reboot have been seemingly locked up in the Warner Brothers water tower.
However, the first glimpse has definitely piqued our interest. Truth be told, as soon as we hear that theme song, we're done.
Take a look at what the Animaniacs have in store.
