Legendary singer/songwriter Christy Moore made a brilliant gesture at his concert in Armagh last night. The folk legend invited a young fan to sing his classic 'Nancy Spain'.
Míceál Barrett accepted and stood up on stage along with Christy and started singing. Fitted with a mic, he didn't seem to be star-struck performing with his hero and delivered all the lines perfectly.

Dream Come True
He left receiving a round of applause that was deserving off his performance. Replying to the video on twitter, Míceál's mum revealed that her son has been a fan of the Irish songwriter for ages. She also revealed that Christy replied to every single one of his young fan's letters. He got given tickets to the gig as a birthday present and it's fair to say that it was well worth it. Christy was kind enough to gift Míceál his guitar pick.

Christy replied to the tweet saying that he was delighted to sing a tune with the young fan and that the tradition is in safe hands with Míceál.

On Tour
The songwriter's gig at the Armagh City Hotel was one in his very busy schedule. He is next performing at Mountmellick in County Laois, before travelling back to Armagh. Cork and Dundalk follow up the return to the Orchard County, with an amazing 13 performances at Vicar Street in Dublin for the winter.

The 77-year-old has been performing at gigs for over 50 years making many fans. With his gesture on Wednesday night, he made an unforgettable moment for one of his youngest.
