With all the sporting events that have been postpones due to the coronavirus, one of the overlooked losses has been the 2020 Eurovision contest. The event, which was due to take place in Amsterdam last night, will not take place this year.

The thing is, the whole thing would have been a formality.

That is thanks to Daði Freyr, who was set to be the Icelandic entry to the competition. Not only was this the best Eurovision song we have heard in years, it is one of the best songs in general.

Everything about it, from the lyrics, outfits, choreography, the brilliant awkwardness, it's all just perfect. Watch this video and try to tell us that Think About Things is not a certified banger.

The song, which is written about Freyr's infant daughter, was all but a guaranteed winner in Amsterdam. What's worse, none of this year's songs will be allowed to reenter the 2021 Eurovision.

Iceland have been robbed.

However, the man at the centre of this was typically cheerful in his message to viewers of the 'Shine A Light' special last night.

While many of us at Balls HQ have been playing this one on loop for months now, some people are just becoming familiar with it now after all this year's entrants were shown last night.

It's fair to say that everyone is agreed that Iceland should just be crowned as champions if there is any justice remaining in the world.

Please just let this one be entered next year. We need to see it on the Eurovision stage.
