Here it is, the one we've all been waiting for: a docudrama based on Ireland's patron saint, Saint Patrick himself.

Now we know what you're thinking, surely a 'docudrama' based on a saint that lived in 5th Century would hardly make for the most riveting television? Well, after viewing the trailer for the show, we can confirm you are absolutely correct.

I AM PATRICK will arrive on Netflix on March 11th, and according to its description it 'peels back centuries of legend and myth to tell the true story of Saint Patrick. Through historical re-enactments, expert interviews and Patrick’s own writings, experience the journey from man to saint'.

It is directed by Jarrod Anderson, and stars John-Rhys Davis as the elder version of the saint. Davis is of course best known for his portrayal of Gimli in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I AM PATRICK will mix actual historians with dramatisations to tell the story of St. Patrick's life, with neither part looking all that enthralling. You can watch the trailer below.

There you have it.
