The sixth season of Line Of Duty premiered with a bang last night on BBC 1. Despite being shot during covid, the programme managed to bring a heightened amount of drama, tension, intrigue, and yes acronyms. No programme in TV history has featured so many feckin' acronyms. If you're uninitiated to the show, or even a hardcore LoD fan, the sheer amount of acronyms spouted by the show's protaganists can be daunting. It's like wading through alphabet soup.

Nothing confused viewers more than the heavily-used term CHIS last night. What the hell exactly is a CHIS you may have found yourself asking last night.  You were not alone.
