As entertaining as the rebooted version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is, it just doesn't quite have the magic of the original. The recent screening of 'Quiz' on ITV has just driven home that fact.

Jeremy Clarkson is a good host, but he's no Chris Tarrant. Then you have the fact that there's a certain charm to the contestants in the 90s and early 00s. Unlike those today, they weren't used to being in front of a camera. The results were often pretty hilarious, as can be seen below.

Twitter user Jake Graham has put together a thread of some of the funniest contestant waves from the show.

We are all familiar with the process: Chris Tarrant would go around and introduce each contestant, who give a wave to the camera. Simple stuff, except some of them used to make an absolute balls of it.

The show is very much back in the public consciousness after the airing of Quiz, with Charles Ingram himself even coming out of the woodwork. While he enjoyed the show, he still launched an odd rant slating Chris Tarrant.

He clearly hasn't gotten over the whole thing so.
