Miriam O'Callaghan will be filling as host of The Late Late Show again this week as Ryan Tubridy continues to recover from Covid-19, and she'll be joined on Friday's show by toast of the internet, Joe Wick.

The English fitness instructor has been hugely popular for years through his handy cookbooks and online workout videos but over the last couple of weeks he has risen to a new level of soundness, with his daily YouTube PE classes being watched by millions. Not only is he keeping kids occupied and all of us active, he's also donating all the ad revenue generated from said PE classes to the NHS.

Joe will be chatting to Miriam about the importance of exercise throughout the current situation, while Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore will also be on the show, speaking from her home in London.

Sean Moynihan, CEO of ALONE, will be on the show to talk about their service and the concerns of the elderly through the coronavirus restrictions and Michael Prendergast - the 28-year-old Kerryman who gave a stark Sky News interview last week about the toll the virus took him - will also be on The Late Late to speak about his experience.

John Sheahan of The Dubliners and Philomena Begley will speak about their cacooning efforts, while Gavin James will perform a number of songs in studio throughout the show.

Meanwhile, Ryan Tubridy has shown his appreciation for the good wishes he has recieved over the last week, saying: "I want to thank everyone for their good wishes over the past number of days. I am very grateful to be through this virus, and, to keep safe I will be adhering to best practice and not be returning to work until next week. I am acutely aware that other people are going through much more serious pain and I want to send them my warmest wishes at this difficult time. Miriam did a great job last Friday, as I'm sure she will tomorrow night, and I want to thank her and the team for keeping the show on the road."
